The San Francisco neighborhood known as SoMa—or South of Market—is home to the Moscone Convention Center, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) and Oracle Park, where Major League Baseball’s Giants play. Enjoy brand-name convenience and a short walk to Oracle at this 230-room Hyatt Place. “Located right next to the ballpark and only 10- to 15-minute from Chase Center,” writes a Google reviewer. “The N line tram stops just around the corner that takes you out all the way to Ocean Beach. We had a beautiful corner room overlooking downtown.” A Tripadvisor user found the room “very nice—small but had everything we needed.  “Ideally located for a short walk to Oracle Park,” writes a Tripadvisor user of this 405-room hotel. It’s part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection and only .7 miles from the park. “The bar and lobby restaurant scene is wonderful for post-game celebrations and its location is close to the Ferry Building, Moscone Center, the Sales Force Park, and SFMOMA.” A Google reviewer likes the ambience: “The hotel smells so good, the atmosphere very busy and our view was awesome. InterContinental San Francisco, an IHG Hotel (888 Howard St.; 415- 616-6500) SoMa

Located in a 33-story building next to Moscone Center, this 550-room InterContinental has “amazing views and a convenient location,” according to Condé Nast Traveler. “It is massive, but still manages to be a warm space, with wood paneling, tons of natural light, and wing-back chairs in the lobby.” The hotel is a15-minute walk to Oracle and has an indoor pool and a full-service spa. One Tripadvisor user writes that “during the day it’s perfectly safe, but at night it’s best to take a cab.” Another reviewer says “we stayed on the 25th floor and had great views of Oracle Park.
