Kansas City is rich with history, culture and great sports teams—including Super-Bowl champs, the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs play in Arrowhead Stadium, right next door to Kauffman Field (home of the Kansas City Royals). Both stadiums are part of the Truman Sports Complex, all less than 10 miles from downtown Kansas City and its attractions such as the World War I Museum and the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum. Here are the best hotels near Arrowhead Stadium.
Best Western Plus Kansas City Sports Complex Hotel (4011 Blue Ridge Cutoff; 816-353-5300) Sports Complex Area
Located just a half mile from the stadium complex, this 170-room Best Western offers close proximity to both Arrowhead and Kauffman, as well as a free hot breakfast and an on-site bar and grill. “So convenient to the stadium—a 10-minute walk,” says one Tripadvisor user, “and staff always greeted us with a wave, a smile or a nod. Felt like coming home after the game.” A Google reviewer notes one downside: “There is nothing else of interest in the immediate area. I would not stay here unless I were going to a game. The only other restaurants in the area are Taco Bell and Subway.” >> Book this hotel for less

“Perfect for any event at Arrowhead or the Royals Stadium,” writes a Tripadvisor user about this 123-room boutique hotel that’s less than a mile from the Truman Sports Complex. “The walk to both stadiums is very easy and safe.” Room rates include a free breakfast and, the same user notes, “there were board games, cozy places to sit, and a food truck in the parking lot for late night snacks.” One Google reviewer writes that “the hotel is a little dated, but it makes up for it in friendliness. Great value.” >> Book this hotel for less

Located in the city’s posh Country Club Plaza, this InterContinental offers an upscale home base for a Chiefs getaway, and Arrowhead is still just under six miles away. “Lots of shopping at the Plaza,” writes a Google reviewer. “Only 15 minutes to the stadium and very easy to drive around.” One Tripadvisor user likes that “the rooms are spacious and the lobby restaurant is a great place to wind down.” Other users recommend booking the hotel’s club level for the “free breakfast, free evening snacks, free drinks and desserts.” >> Book this hotel for less
The Westin Kansas City at Crown Center (1 E Pershing Rd.; 816-474-4400) Downtown
This elegant Westin is located at the city’s shopping-and-dining-filled Crown Center, about six miles from Arrowhead—but one Google user really liked the team spirit. “We happened to stay during the weekend of the Chiefs vs. Bills game, and the banquet staff wore Chiefs jerseys as their uniform. We loved the enthusiasm!” A Trip Advisor reviewer enjoyed that “this hotel was centrally located, with the Crown Center and the neighboring World War I Memorial. The pool was nice and the gym’s Peloton was a bonus.” >> Book this hotel for less
