Lumen Field, home of the NFL’s Seahawks, is located in the “SoDo” area of Seattle. While the nickname used to mean South of the Dome, the old Kingdome stadium, it now refers to South of Downtown—and in many ways the heart of the city. After all, nearby are top downtown sights including Pike Place Market and Pioneer Square—so staying close to the stadium also means you’re in an excellent spot for exploring Seattle. Here are the best hotels near Lumen Field, all within a mile or so of the stadium.

You can’t stay any closer to Lumen Field than this branch of Embassy Suites. “Great location for Lumen field—about one block away,” writes a Google reviewer. “The breakfast and free happy hour were also really good.” A Tripadvisor user likes the brand name’s perks: “Very pleasant Starbucks coffee in the room as well as everything you would expect from an Embassy Suites with a microwave, fridge, dining and lounge area. This 211-room boutique hotel is less than a half mile from Lumen Field and an even shorter walk to T-Mobile Park, home of MLB’s Mariners. Part of the small Pacific Northwest Silver Cloud chain, the hotel has “all the amenities we needed,” writes a Google reviewer. “Mini fridge, microwave, Keurig. Rooms had nice modern decor, very clean. Beautiful roof top pool!” Some online reviewers point out that the area can be noisy, with so many venues nearby, but as a Tripadvisor user says, “my room was fantastic, overlooking the stadium. Hotel 1000 LXR Hotels & Resorts (1000 1st Ave.; 206-957-1000) Downtown
The Telegraph calls this Hilton branded property, just under a mile from Lumen, “sophisticated and serene, with impressive amenities—including a spa and golf simulator—and a heart-of-it-all location that make it a great place to be inside or out.” Indeed, a Google reviewer likes the easy access—“a close walk to Ivar’s, our favorite place for fish and chips, and our room had a view that stretched from Lumen Field to the Seattle Great Wheel. Fairmont Olympic Hotel (411 University St.; 206-621-1700) Downtown
Combine a grand-dame-style stay with easy access to Lumen Field at this Fairmont, a little more than a mile away. This 450-room hotel, housed in a 1924 building that was once the home of the University of Washington, “carries the class of a bygone era, but is decked out with the style of today,” writes Travel+Leisure, thanks to amenities such as its sumptuous Olympic Bar. “I love everything about this hotel,” writes a Tripadvisor user. “The location is perfect. “Bright colors and bold designs brighten this four-star hotel downtown,” writes The Telegraph about the 189-room Kimpton that offers complimentary wine hours, and “which has an excellent restaurant that’s a destination in its own right.” A Tripadvisor user calls the hotel, a mile from Lumen, “beautiful—the rooms were very clean and comfortable!
