Heading to Georgia‘s capital city? Whether you come to shop or explore big sights like World of Coca-Cola or CNN Center, there are a wealth of great hotels packed with amenities. Not all the great pools are outdoors—after all, luxurious indoor pools can be enjoyed year-round, or paired with a spa day. Here are the best hotel pools in Atlanta.

Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead (3376 Peachtree Rd NE; 404-995-7500) Buckhead

Located in Buckhead, nicknamed the Beverly Hills of the South, this former Mandarin-Oriental stands 42 stories high. It appeals to “well-heeled travelers in search of a sophisticated respite,” according to Condé Nast Traveler. Highlights include “a formal English garden in the back courtyard, exceptional staff, and a two-story spa.” The large dramatic indoor pool, with giant windows and sleek, contemporary ambience, is close to the spa, writes one Google reviewer. “While we were at the indoor pool, lunch was served to us. The pool was empty so it was basically like a private spa lunch!” >> Book this hotel for less

Travel+Leisure calls the “glimmering” pool area “the star of the show, with chic cabanas and poolside drink service.” One Tripadvisor user found it easy-access, too: “We decided to go down to the pool until checkout time,” they write. “We found two lounging chairs with the towels all set up, and we had a few drinks before we had to leave.” >> Book this hotel for less

This elegant hotel is near Peachtree St., the High Museum of Art, and Piedmont Park.
