Many Major League Baseball teams play in the downtown area of their home cities—but not the Atlanta Braves. Their home field, Truist Park, is located in the area known as The Battery Atlanta, a mixed-use complex about 10 miles north of downtown and five miles north of popular Buckhead. While staying near Truist Park means you’re outside the city center, it also means you’re walking distance to The Battery’s wide variety of shops, restaurants, and the Coca-Coca Roxy Theater, a live music venue created out of an old-school movie theater. Plus, you have plenty of good hotel options, with familiar brands and a range of price points. Here are the best hotels near Truist Park.

Omni Hotel at the Battery Atlanta (2625 Circle 75 Parkway SE; 678-567-7327) The Battery

Sitting next door to Truist Park, this 264-room Omni is the official hotel of the Atlanta Braves. Beyond baseball-themed decor, many rooms have views into the park. Condé Nast Traveler applauds it for “well-designed rooms, terrific food and drinks, and awesome location—expect to fall in love with this nontraditional Buckhead stay.” A Google reviewer acknowledges that you pay for this kind of access, calling it “spendy, but the luxury of the experience makes the cost worthwhile—this is convenience and fun all in one. Spend a little extra for the ballpark view and balcony for the ultimate sports experience.”   >> Book this hotel for less

Tru by Hilton Atlanta Galleria Ballpark (4511 Circle 75 Parkway; 678) 540-9950) The Battery

This boutique-style branch of the Hilton family pops with color and user-friendly perks, such as free hot breakfast, pet-friendly rooms and an indoor pool. “The stadium is only a ¾-mile walk,” says a Tripadvisor user, “and we loved the fluffy pancakes and the beautiful lobby. The room itself was nice and I appreciated the high-speed internet for work.” The hotel offers a lot of bang for the buck, says a Google reviewer: “The lobby had a pool table, tea, hot chocolate—anything you could need. Very impressed for the price.”   >> Book this hotel for less

Aloft Atlanta at The Battery Atlanta (950 Battery Ave. SE; 678-272-4288) The Battery

There’s value at this 142-room boutique hotel within the Marriott family. “It puts expensive hotels to shame,” one Yelper says, “I loved how modern everything was and very clean. It’s right by the Braves’ stadium and close enough for you to catch an Uber to Buckhead and back.” A Google reviewer points out the basic nature of Aloft hotels: “Rooms are nice but very limited clothing storage, if at all, if you need to unpack. Overall, it was a nice place to stay and everything in walking distance.”   >> Book this hotel for less

Doubletree Suites by Hilton at The Battery Atlanta (2780 Windy Ridge Parkway; 855-605-0318) The Battery

Just a five-minute walk from Truist, this Doubletree is comprised mostly of suites and also offers an outdoor pool, a fitness center, and the hotel’s signature warm cookies. A Tripadvisor user says her family “selected this hotel for proximity to Truist Park and room layout,” with plenty of doors in the suite for privacy. Online users frequently mention the parking situation here, mostly due to sticker shock: “Parking was confusing,” says one Google reviewer. “My husband thought it was included with our hotel stay, but we had to pay $50 on the first day and $25 the second day. Just be aware of those potential charges.”   >> Book this hotel for less

Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel & Convention Center (2450 Galleria Parkway; 770-953-4500) Cobb Galleria Center

U.S. News and World Report says that while this Renaissance “caters mostly to business travelers,” it also “offers a quiet setting” with “spacious, comfortable and clean” rooms as well as a spa. The hotel is next to the Cobb Galleria convention center—on the other side of I-285 from Truist—but a Google reviewer is still enamored of the stadium access, saying that it’s “close enough to easily walk to Truist Park using the skybridge. We stayed at the club level with a view of the stadium. It was totally worth it!”   >> Book this hotel for less
