Mountains, wide open spaces, and a Western aesthetic all make Jackson Hole an idyllic all-season getaway. Come ski at three resorts—Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Snow King, or Grand Targhee. Or explore and play at Grand Teton National Park, the National Elk Refuge and, about 50 miles away, Yellowstone National Park. Choose from lodgings that put you close to Mother Nature, or stay in the charming, historic town of Jackson. Here are five great hotels in Jackson Hole.

Teton Mountain Lodge & Spa (3385 Cody Ln.; 307-201-6066) Teton Village

This 145-room, AAA Four Diamond hotel exudes classic mountain-lodge ambience with its stone-and-timber interiors. But it also offers outdoor swimming pools, a huge rooftop hot tub, and 10-treatment-room SpaTerre. Travel+Leisure calls it a “family-friendly lodge, steps from the new aerial tram to the summit, with ski-in convenience at the base of Jackson Hole.” Choose from traditional rooms or suites that come with full kitchens, gas fireplaces—and boot dryers. Tripadvisor users love the easy access: “It’s walking distance to restaurants, shopping and convenient to Jackson Hole,” says one. “Horseback riding available nearby.” The hotel is also one mile from Grand Teton National Park.   >> Book this hotel for less

Four Seasons Resort Jackson Hole (7680 Granite Loop Rd.; 307-732-5000) Teton Village

This 124-room luxury Four Seasons resort excels at service and offers a prime location at the base of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. “This is the only ski-in/ski-out hotel in the village,” says Condé Nast Traveler, “and comes with unobstructed views of the Tetons, full-service alpine spa, an outdoor pool and jacuzzi, ski concierge, and all the pampering you’d expect.” Some Google reviewers note that this is not the fanciest Four Seasons you may ever see, but it’s still a delight. “Just close enough to the base to be a fair location, but far in ski boots,” says one Google reviewer. “Cozy wood fireplace made up for the drafty windows. Moose visits often.”   >> Book this hotel for less

Rustic Inn Creekside Resort & Spa at Jackson Hole (475 N. Cache St.; 800-323-9279) Jackson

Set on 14 acres, this Western-themed resort of cabins, guest rooms and suites has plenty of room to roam, but is also just four blocks from Jackson’s historic Town Square. Beyond the perks of a pool and complimentary breakfast, the resort gets raves from Travel+Lesiure for “an idyllic setting and an abundance of outdoor-sy amenities such as tipis, a boardwalk winding above a wetland, and creek-side swinging benches—it’s perfect for kids.” The location is “fantastic,” says one Tripadvisor user. “We did pay extra for a creek view, and I think next time we would enjoy one of the cabins on the walking path. There’s really not a bad one in the bunch. What a cool spot!”   >> Book this hotel for less

Amangani (1535 N.E. Butte Rd.; 307-734-7333) Jackson

This 40-suite redwood-and-sandstone resort is a 20-minute drive from the slopes, but offers guests access to a dedicated ski lounge in Teton Village. Even so, you’ll also want plenty of downtime at the resort, where suites come with fireplaces. “This American outpost of the acclaimed Aman resort group blends the simplicity of its Asian origins with the surrounding splendor of the west,” says Forbes. For a lot of reviewers, this is the kind of place you stay for a honeymoon or special occasion. “The hotel is fantastic, the view is breathtaking, and the staff is amazing,” says one Google reviewer who also declared the dinner at the resort’s grill the best meal of their stay. “Quite frankly, just the view is worth the price.”   >> Book this hotel for less

Hotel Jackson (120 N. Glenwood St; 307-733-2200) Jackson

Condé Nast Traveler describes this 55-room LEED-certified hotel as “a modern boutique option in the heart of town, with a decidedly Western aesthetic. Don’t miss this Mediterranean restaurant, FIGS, as well as its reading room, the Hotel Jackson Sacajawea Library. “The rooms were perfect, the staff delightful from the valets, housekeeping department to the front desk,” says a Tripadvisor user. “Because the hotel is so well situated in town, the concierge desk made us reservations at numerous other restaurants each night! The delightful library was a perfect spot for drinks or quiet hours.”   >> Book this hotel for less
