Nothing says summer in New England like a concert at Tanglewood. Located in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts, the venue is most famous as the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. But the open-air amphitheater, with its idyllic grass lawn, also hosts other big acts during its summer season. In a typical summer, options range from resident James Taylor to touring acts like Brandi Carlisle, as well as movie nights accompanied by a live orchestra. While you can’t stay within walking distance of Tanglewood, it’s not hard to find a good hotel within about five miles, which means you’ll also have easy access to local sights such as Edith Wharton’s estate The Mount and the Norman Rockwell Museum. Here are the best hotels near Tanglewood.

A Google reviewer writes that “this was a pretty quiet location considering it’s right near the main roadway. Some small shops nearby and pretty close to restaurants.
