While the resort promises ocean views from all rooms, one Tripadvisor user points out that that usually means a “partial view of the ocean…the only full ocean front view are from the condos.” Even so, another user writes, “our room was clean and spacious, the staff was personable and helpful. “Three words: private beach access,” writes the Houston Chronicle of this 10-acre resort that also has two swimming pools, sand volleyball courts, tennis courts, and an outdoor burger grill. “You won’t find traditional rooms here—that’s because there are three types of cabana rooms and two-bedroom condominiums that accommodate up to six people.” Online, some reviewers complain about nickel-and-diming. “Rooms are lovely. Location is perfect, right on the beach. But nothing is included in the very expensive price. No breakfast. It’s extra. The 156-room hotel also offers beach access and a pool—although a few online users complain that the pool isn’t heated, so could be “ice cold” depending on the time of your visit. A Tripadvisor user likes the quiet ambience, calling it “a nice hotel near the end of the road on the island. Parking was convenient and the hotel is situated near the beach.
