What is it like to stay at a Hyatt Regency?

In a nutshell: A Hyatt Regency will always be reliably upscale. Some are downtown business-focused hotels. But others are comfortable, family-friendly resorts with golf or a sprawling pool complex. In a great many American cities, from San Antonio to St. Louis and beyond, you’ll find a Hyatt Regency among the best hotels available.

What to expect: Hyatt Regency is known for huge atrium lobbies and tend to offer a lot of meeting spaces, multiple dining options, a spa, and a fitness center. These are huge hotels—sometimes upwards of 2,000 rooms.

Design: Expect a sleek unobtrusive aesthetic with clean lines and earth tones, in addition to timeless elegance.

Room categories: Guest rooms come with one king or two queen beds, plus a work area, and range in size from about 340 to 410 square feet. Some have added views and balconies or patios. Junior and executive suites, meanwhile, have separate living areas, range from about 700–1,300 square feet. Presidential Suites can top out at 2,600 square feet. Rooms typically come with Hyatt Grand beds.

Club Floor Upgrade: Regency Club is a private lounge on select guest floors that offers perks. Think complimentary continental breakfast, afternoon hors d’oeuvres in addition to an honor bar for evening cocktails.

Fun Fact: The Hyatt Regency Chicago has its own list of superlatives. It’s the largest hotel in Chicago and the seventh largest in the world. In addition, it boasts the longest freestanding bar in the continental U.S.

Hyatt Regency Amenities

Breakfast: Paid breakfast is available at on-site restaurants. Some hotel packages may include a free breakfast at the on-site restaurant. Guests who stay in a Regency Club room get free continental breakfasts.

On-Site Dining: Properties typically have at least one on-site lounge, two restaurants and three bars—especially a ambience-rich bar in that spacious lobby.

Room Service: Yes.

Wi-Fi: Expect free Wi-Fi in both guest rooms and in public spaces, whether or not you belong to the World of Hyatt program.

Fitness Room: Most properties have a fitness center affiliated with the spa, as well as one or two pools—either indoor or outdoor.

Spa: Hyatt Regency hotels typically have an on-site spa that features a menu of massages, salon services and other spa treatments.

Pet Friendly: Most Hyatt Regency properties allow pets, with varying restrictions and fees.
