The Gorge Amphitheatre hosts some big acts. Think Foo Fighters to Luke Bryan to Billie Eilish. And yet, this famed venue in central Washington has seriously rich scenery. The venue with terraced lawn seating looks out over the Columbia River Gorge, the rugged cliffs and waters that straddle Oregon and Washington. While there are not many hotel options within walking distance of the venue, you can stay within an easy drive of five to 30 miles. Here are excellent options for hotels near the Gorge Amphitheatre.

You’re only a half-mile walk from the amphitheater at this spa resort that has both traditional suites, yurts, and basalt-rock-exterior “cavern” rooms by the river. The resort sometimes offers VIP passes that grant you access to perks at the amphitheater too. One Google reviewer writes, “I stayed at the condos—the kitchen is well stocked with everything you need, or you can use the BBQ on the patio.” A Tripadvisor user likes the “delightful views of the Columbia River from our room, bird song, and fire pits. Located about six miles from the amphitheater, this Holiday Inn Express offers crowd-pleasing convenience. A Tripadvisor user writes that “it’s 10 minutes from the Gorge Amphitheatre with no traffic. Free parking, free breakfast. Located a little more than 20 miles from the amphitheater, this Best Western offers a lot of brand-name perks. “The rooms are huge, clean, and quiet,” writes a Tripadvisor reviewer. “The free breakfast is a total feast with about a dozen choices.” The hotel offers an indoor pool and, according to many online reviewers, good customer service. “We got back late to our room after a concert at the Gorge, and our door keys would not work,” writes one Google reviewer. “Before we could do anything, a staffer came around the corner and quickly got us new keys. While you’re farther from the Gorge than some options—about 25 miles—this 59-room boutique hotel set in a former Elks Lodge offers a quaint stay in the town of Ellensburg. “Such a nice little hotel, right in the heart of Ellensburg,” writes a Tripadvisor user. “Nicely appointed, super clean, comfortable, modern.” The hotel also has free WiFi, electric vehicle charging stations, and a 24-hour fitness center. While this Wyndham is a little more than 30 miles away from the Gorge, it offers a direct route to the amphitheater along I-90. The price for what you get is unbeatable!” The hotel has a pool and its location also offers the chance to enjoy water sports at nearby Moses Lake. A Tripadvisor reviewer writes that “we stayed for four nights to attend concerts at the Gorge. Super comfy beds and pillows as well.
