This 88-room branch of the hippest Marriott-family brand is a few minutes’ walk from both the closest ski lifts and the Aspen Art Museum. The Telegraph calls it “a swanky-mod chalet that’s bright, bold and hedonistic, with a cocktail grotto, rooftop pool and bar.” Some Tripadvisor users bemoaned the lack of Western ambience, but couldn’t argue with the convenience, or the mountain views from the rooftop hot tub. “The location is perfect,” says one. “The hotel is new. In its past life, this 126-room hotel was a 1950s folk bar. In 2008 it became a boutique hotel and underwent a refresh in 2021. “This friendly, unassuming hotel is a breath of fresh air in Colorado’s most expensive mountain town,” says Forbes. “It offers helpful amenities, beautiful vistas and unfussy luxury.” Perks include a free shuttle and a complimentary breakfast buffet. Tripadvisor reviewers say it feels welcoming—including for dogs: “We had a fireplace and great views. We had our dog with us and they provided a nice bed and bowls for him.
