The city of Bozeman makes an excellent launching pad for a Montana adventure. You’re right next to Yellowstone National Park, and lots of hiking, biking, fishing or climbing, as well as skiing in the winter. Kimpton hotels are famously dog-friendly, charging no fees and offering lots of perks, and this nine-story branch is no different. “We brought our two Golden Retrievers and they offer dog sitting at the front desk,” says a Google reviewer. “They were so awesome to our pups while we went and had a lunch downtown. New favorite hotel.” The hotel has lots of style too. This 38-room boutique hotel with its own coffeehouse exudes a modern, minimalist vibe and offers only a few rooms designated for dogs—so be sure to specify when you book. This boutique hotel that’s part of the Marriott family is about a mile from Montana State University. You dog can come too, with a one-time, per-stay fee. “They had a nice breakfast buffet,” says a Tripadvisor user. “Hotel was sparkling clean. I could walk to great restaurants and shops. Cool bar upstairs too. “ Location was perfect,” says a Google use­r—including pooch-friendly spots such as Peets Hill, Cooper Park, and Story Mill Park. “The valet was super helpful and always had good advice. This Best Western near Montana State and the airport has an indoor pool, free parking, and a warm welcome for pets. “I have a service dog, a pit bull, and I was a little worried about how she would be treated,” says a Google user. “These folks loved my dog, and showered her in treats and affection. I was allowed to take her into the pool area to sit near the pool.” A Tripadvisor user adds that “rooms were clean. “Great place to relax, enjoy some great food, connect with nature and soak up a wonderful slice of Montana,” says a Google user of this creekside eco-resort with nine luxe glamping tipis southwest of the city. Pets are welcome for a small fee, though they need to stay on leash. Dogs will love the outdoor vibes while humans can enjoy yoga, fly fishing, and a spa. A Tripadvisor user says that “this place is dog-friendly for well-behaved pups. Homemade breakfast burritos were included with the price … and the bar in the evening was fun too, with a spectacular view of the mountains and a pasture. This is how you do Montana.”
